hi everone. this past week has been hell for me. ive done hours and hours of work, and hundred of towles were used haha. any way, my tank has been gettign foggy..er.. and non pleasing. i checked my parameters every night and they all checked out perfectly. even went to the lfs just incase my test misteriously went wrong. but turns out my water was perfect. Ammonia: 0, Nitrate: 0, Nitrite: 0, cal: 460, ph: 8.3, i have no clue whats going wrong. my coral is loving the water changes though. an hour after every change, they poof right up. its so depressing to see such nice coral in such cloudy water. if anyone has a comment please post. thank you.

oh and i just got this chemi pure stuff, i think its like a reef carbon, the guy at the lfs said to put in the canister along with the bio filtration... so i added it it. he said it should clear up in a matter of days. that was yesterday afternoon. i awoke to maby a cloudier tank.

i'd say post a pic of your tank. did you rinse out the carbon really well before you used it?
method of mixing salt?

good luck, I'm outta here! have a great weekend everyone!

It seems you are getting a algae bloom or something. What water are you using is it ro/di water.Try using kent reef carbon.
