Uh oh

Uh oh... I have a blue chin trigger that appears to be on the verge of dying because of my putting fish in too early issue... Ammonia is pretty low now(.25-.5) but nitrites are very high, like 4.0 and nitrates are from 20-40. He's barely moving. Any suggestions?

He keeps laying low by my two cleaner shrimp, almost resting on the LR on his side. When I put a net in he runs around but then ends up going back. I had a pretty bad case of ich also but I did put in some Ich stuff, and it helped some but none of them currently have any ich noticable on their bodies.

I dosed some Amquel about 3 days ago and just did again. Hoping that will help. He has since left being by the shrimp and come up to the corner and has been a bit more active. Happened a few min after i put in the amquel, but may have been a coincidence.

Definitely do some major water changes. Do a 30% now and maybe another 20% in a week. Amquel is only a temporary solution but a good one. It will bond with toxic ammonia molecules to neutralize the danger but water changes will ultimately be the solution. Good luck.
