UK based 400 gallon UK gallon Tank

yep I guess so.

but it works for me, tank is taking off now.

It is a joy to watch with all the movement of the fish and LPS.

I may eventually have to remove some fish but bare in mind total volume is 450 UK gallons and I can change 300 gallons per week if I really needed too.

Dont get me wrong craig. I LOVE the fish that you have in that tank. I only imagine how much fun you have watching this tank :)

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reply, its certainly better than the 2 Tunze Comlines I was previously running, however I feel it is still not big enough for my tank and think a future purchase will involve a Aquamedic 5000 twin.

The shorty is however a great peice of hardware and I think in a 200 gallon system it would shine.

Some more tank shots, I had a day of re-organising some small areas, which ended up with rock collapses etc.....why do we insist on meddling?

Hi

Here is some more recent shots, its coming along now, still pleased with it. Sun corals area seems ok'ish, looks rubbish during the day due the skeleton going white but all the polyps come out great at night, mind my feeding method is quite extreme, I have a video of feeding on my web site....also being creating a Trachy area. and have some nice acans etc.

The new aquascaping is very nice! It looks like you have sand covering your entire floor now. How are the Tunzes pushing water up and through the sand?

Thanks, the undergravel using the streams was given up on...why?..............

Cause I missed the sand to much!!!!

All my Streams are now pointing out the wers into the tank....4 in each weir.

Craig

Craig - that makes sense now! There's no way you can have sand and use the undergravel streams. I agree that the sand looks much better!

Thanks, agree Sand is best, somehow more pleasing to the eye, plus of couse light bounces off it better, thus making the 4 * 400 halides even more effective.
