That's a neat way to aquascape.
Option A works well with fish, Option B will make too many of the fishes hide and have too many dark areas in the tank.
This is am impressive build, especially with all the pictures taken inside of a glass shop. Forgive me if I missed this somewhere but do you work with glass for a living? You definitely know what you are doing.
how did you get the arch to stay up like that? And how did you fuse the rocks together? Did you use expanding foam while the structure was up or did you epoxy each piece individually?
Following... Awesome build, I really like both options for the aquascape, but the one you went w is so unique. I cant wait to see it in action. Great job, great build.
some updates
I got the skimmer Bubble Magus -Curve 9
BioPellets reactor - XR-MF-M - filled in with 600 ml of TLF BioPlastic gen 2
Carbon reactor - XR-MF-S - I am going to fill it in with 330 ml of TLF hydroCarbon at the end of the cycle
I used TLF Bio Pronto to speed up the cycle and after 2 weeks
NO2 =0 and NH3 =0
