Ultralife red slime remover?

I have noticed a red slime outbreak forming on my sand. I saw a video on this stuff on youtube and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

If not, will any CUC members get rid of this stuff? I have a 55 gal FOWL tank, its been up and running 3 months now and my water parameters are pretty good Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate around 10-20 ppm, and I don't have a phosphate test kit yet, but plan on getting it this week.

Any help would be great....thanks

Red slime = Cyanobacteria. Siphon it when you do water changes and up your flow. I wouldn't add a chemical at this point not knowing whatnot will do to your tank in the long run. Nassarius snails or a fighting conch may keep the sand surface stirred enough to prevent it from forming, but flow is the key here.

Don't. Your sandbed is nowhere near 'adult'. The slime remover is safer in a more mature tank with adequate skimming. To handle this stuff, just turn your lights out 3 days a month while keeping your skimmer tuned to max efficiency. Won't hurt corals or fish if you leave it just on ambient light. [Room light]. Takes a while. But it will get it, with persistence. And this way doesn't risk crashing your tank, which can happen, with a bad case, a remover, and not enough skimming fast enough.

+1 On SK8tr. I had it bad even on the rocks, and turned out the light for three days, turned on blues to feed fish, and all gone . Yes, keep skimmer running and watch it , it will run crazy.

Cyano is very common.
Running a GFO reactor removed it for me, took a couple weeks.
Has not come back.

ULTRALIFE RED SLIME STAIN REMOVER
not happy.
Instructions are : NO WATER CHANGE NEEDED / JUST ADJUST SKIMMER.
But my Skimmer is going crazy, i had to turn it off
