I have a 72 bow with oceanic stand. I have pergo floors and I have kids. I had a small flood (my fault) and I don't know how to get under it? I tied sliding it across the floor a bit but I can't get all the way underneath. What should I do. I'm sure it happens to others, so there has to be a solution?

Whatever I do, cannot jepordize the stability because of my kids. Please let me know of any suggestions!

Thanks,
Justin

throw some teddybear hamsters under it.. they'll soak it up. be careful when you ring them out though.

HAHahA!!

Tie a sponge or two to them, and you'll be golden.

When I had a flood with my 58G I drained half the water out of the tank, lifted a corner while my wife slipped one of those magic disk furniture mover things under each corner, then slid the tank across the carpet. I was surprised how well that worked.

I do nothing when this happens. I figured this way the cheap store bought stand will rot and maybe one day fall apart motovating my wife to understand why I want to build a new one. She should so just let me have the money to do this.

I like the tedy bear hamster with a sponge thing:)

mpcart is about right empty your 72g tank until you can lift it, then dry.

Well I'm not too worried about the stand, it's like composite plastic but more concerned about my pergo floor under it?

Yeah, Pergo doesn't like to be wet. If you can't lift a corner, you can slip towels (or paper towels) under the stand and wick out the water. If you can scoot the tank a bit, you should be able to wick most of the water out and then use some fans.

Nah, just tell your kids it's time to practice blowing up balloons. They want to be in good shape when the next birthday party rolls around.
