Unauthorized use of personal name/address

We received some unsolicited non-marine related advertising from a member of the society at our house in the mail. We didn't expect the roster to be used in this way. Who is entrusted with this information? We don't want the roster name/address/phone number or email address sold or used for any other non-marine society purpose. Can this be stopped?

let me apologize to any members for my over zealous wife that sent out a few of her brochures. There were several bad email addresses in the database and I asked her to help me out by sending out a letter to get the correct info and unknown to me she took the liberty to mail some other info of her own....she has been sufficiently repremanded and I can assure you this will not happen again. It is not my desire to use anyones info for something other than society biz.
