Unbelievable Survival Story

I am shocked at what I saw this morning...
Last week it was time to clean off the frag rack as it had some hair algae that was annoying me (for some reason my frag racks are a magnet for algae). I took off all my frags for the time being and put them elsewhere. As always some were overgrowing the disk and I thought I had scraped them all off the rack.
This rack went through heck! It was out of water for a good hour while being picked and scraped and cleaned. For ten minutes it was under steaming hot water and then immediately switched to ice cold water.
After all that, today I found that I missed a couple of polyps on the side that are opening today and doing fine like nothing ever happened. It is amazing how zoanthids can survive like that!

YEAH, remember in the wild these guys can be exposed during low tide and baking under the sun in the pacific and other HOT areas.

That's a fun story and makes me more hopefull for the survival of my new purchases! I have some blasto's taht are doing really great...hope my zoa's will, too!
