Underwater Camera

So my wife wanted a camera for our vacation to the bahamas next week, but i imediately though how cool this would be in the reef.

Basically its a 10.1 megapixel digital thats waterproof out of the box up to 10 feet deep. All my photos of the reef will be up close inside the tank....

are just flying or cruiseing to the bahamas? i went on a cruise there last year on royal carrabian. coco cay was great snorkling but nassura wasn't impressive at all.

Do they have a video camera function with this?It would be cool to use one like that in the Great Barrier Reef. We (wife and I) are going to Australia for three weeks in September. Going to miss all the September fish club meetings, incl. the season startup for C-SEA. I may not think about missing five fish club meetings while there in Oz, but I'll think about it on the 26 hour return flight!

We are flying down to Abaco this Saturday. My inlaws rented a house on the beach and have the whole family down for the week. I plan on doing lots of snorkeling and underwater photographing.

Yes it has a video mode for underwater also.

Ok, we returned back home today so here is a sampling of the pics we took on our week stay at Abaco, Bahamas.

I'll definately be plunking this camera in my tank for any future photos.

Nice pix! I went to some islands w the family about a month ago & we took a disposable camera rated for underwater. Couldn't see into the viewfinder and the pictures all came out pretty poorly. Nicely done.
