I was a pro-photographer/photojournalist for years, and here I am fighting to get what we would otherwise consider to be the most basic shots.
It's because of this that I am wanting & needing to devise a very sturdy handle system that could also have an extension that could double as a snap-on monopod. As you know stability with motion isn't ordinarily an issue, but when we're part of that motion everything changes. With diving a BP/W, I would think that it would be simple enough to devise a retention system with some type of spring clips on either side of the wing (on the plate) that could hold a couple of sections of 1/2" PVC which could be popped out and joined together to create a monopod. One section would need to have a coupling, while the other would need a flat cap plug with a 1/4" bolt epoxied through the cap from the inside out to create the mounting post. Then just drill several holes in each section to remove any bouyancy and draining issues.
Yea i have the Kodak like i mentioned and it has EIS (electronic image stabilization) but i mean just walking around filming random shots...when watching it on tv it gives me a headache sometimes. Im hoping my eventual underwater shots will come out better.
your camera seems to be functioning up pretty good under those low light situations i see.

Between the new house and building a 730g in-wall reef tank for it (total closer to 1200 gallons) and working my butt of programming, I've not had another chance to dive since the Caymans the 1st weekend of March...
I was supposed to be headed to the Texas Flower Gardens this next week, but was notofied the trip has been cancelled due to the oil spill and the dire need for liveaborads to be moved to Alabama for staging "floating hotels" for the clean up crews.
