Well I need to find time to do a real write up, but here's the deal.

It's a quick and dirty write up....

I went down to Rite-Aid and
bought a $29.99 disposable VIDEO camcorder.
http://www.riteaid.com/photos/digital_camera.jsf

Now I have a way to take video, I just need to water proof it.
So I got out my vacuseal food saver machine, threw the camera in.
And then into the tank it went!!!

Now keep in mind I have a small tank and so getting it to focus at a close distance was tough.
A bigger tank would be better...

Here's the raw video.

I'm able to hack the video off the camera, and reuse the camera.
but that's another DIY :)

Rudy: Steve, I don't like you cuz you're dangerous . . .
Steve: That's right Ru . . . dy . . . I am dangerous!

LOL, Steve is the Ultimate DIYer!!! Keep em comin' Steve

That's loud in there! I wonder what it sounds like if you tap the glass. I bet it's freaken annoying for the fish especially w/ that loud whirring!

Woo, glad I'm not a fish.

Try tapping the glass and post a video of it heheh

LOL, that was a great video given the equipment and ingenious rube-goldberg-jimmy-rig setup! I'll bet the fish were wondering what the heck it was that was entering their little world.

This is sure to be in Steve's Easter basket -

For his next trick, the amazing Funmano will drink out of a glass with a live power line in it WHILE doing underwater videography in this tank.

For a guy who is into glass boxes you sure know how to think outside the box :)
