Unidentified Anemone Rescue

Found this anemone dying a slow death in a local Petco store. I am not in the habbit of purchasing livestock from Petco, but this superb specimen could not be left behind. It was labeled as a "H. Sebae - $26.99" but I am not sure what is really is, maybe a LTA. To my surprise, when I got it home and aclimated, it opened up to about 14" across. :dance:

I also have two maroon clowns in this 30 gal half-moon reef tank that runs at 0-0-0, has perfect PH and Alk, avg. temp. 80 degrees, LED and T5 etc. Clowns have not hosted yet.

Other residents include a blue dam and a dominoe dam.

Here are a few photos of the anemone and a video of it purging the dead fish it ate when residing at the petco - half kidding....anyway interesting stuff and I am open to any advise on making this invert comfy! Thanks in advance.

Your anemone looks really good for how new it is. I would ID the anemone as h. Crispa, but there is a small chance it could be a LTA/ M. Doreensis. Good luck!

I think it's H. crispa, but a column pic would remove all doubt. LTAs have white spots along their column. It's clearly bleached, but sebaes often are when they come in from transport. Good lighting and small feedings help the anemone regain its zooxanthellae. Maroons are not naturally found in crispas, but they sometimes will be hosted by crispas in aquariums.
