Unidentified White area on fin, what is it?

I have had a Tail-spot Wrasse, Halichoeres melanurus, for about a week. On the 2nd day I noticed a roughly circular white semi-translucent mark on his left pectoral fin the mark is approximately 2 millimeters in diameter and might be getting larger. The Wrasse is very active, eating well, has good coloration , and is apparently healthy except this spot just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be.

The digital camera I would use is out of the country currently so no pictures. Any help would be appreciated.

It's very hard to say without a picture. I would guess from your description that it might be Lymphocystis. This is a viral disease not much you can do . Good nutrition should make it go away. A picture would really help.
