Unique? Or just malnourished?

Was at an LFS yesterday and came across a BTA that was mostly white with neon red/orange starting about halfway up the tentacles and to the tips. It was marked as an rbta. It looked pretty awesome! I can't help thinking that it just has white on it because of malnourishment/mis handling during collection and/or shipping. I am not really into nems so much, but I'm always looking for unique color morphs of just about anything. So what do you all think, unique? Or just malnourished, and beginning to regain color?

If you want it I'd get it quick because I know Kyle is thinking about getting it since it started coloring up.

I've been tossing the idea around but probably not. I'm too much of a control freak for nems. They don't stay put!

sometimes.....THEY DO! I have 3 Nems that have stayed EXACTLY where i have put them. I did do the Vulcan mind meld with them before placing them, however....lol.

My RBTA barely moves, and seems to prefer one particular piece of LR. It moved off of it when I switched from my 55 to my 75 last spring, then moved back to the same piece of LR shortly before I switched to my 90.

Mine faded from a nice deep red to a light pink and has stayed that way for months. It eats, shifts around, inflates and deflates, and bubbles at the tips... but has only recently started to color up again.

I have a huge colony of rbtas and many people now have a clone of mine, and once they find a nice spot they will stay there, the best suggestions i hav efound are try and build a little island type of deal just for the rbta as they do not like disattaching from the rock they are on and refuse to travel across sand, so i have about 40 or rbtas on a huge island in my tank and except for the new baby clones they all stay put. so keep that in mind when thinking about getting a rbta and i have plenty available in all sizes if interested,

Kat hows the little rbta that you got from me? doing well im sure ;)

Hey there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE my little Nem clone! Absolutely beautiful color...did exactly what you suggested about the island...nestled into a little hole and has been thriving ever since!

i AM lookin at it! i have never had a nem in my main tank.. only in my little 9 gallon where many of them were sold at said store. so if you bought one from that store it came from me most likely, hah.
but yes it did come in like that... thank you distributors. regardless its coloring up and creeping up to actual light as well. signs of a healthy comeback.
