Unique stocking ideas for a 10g nano??

Hey guys, setting up a 10 gallon nano at work and I don't really know what I want to do with it yet. I have mixed reef tanks at home ( a biocube, and a 120g) so I think Im looking to do a little something different with this tank. I want the bio load to be pretty small as the size isn't very forgiving and I really plan on running a skimmer, though I might if I had to. The tank is an innovative marine 10 gallon nuvo, with the 18w skyye light led. It would be good enough for some softies, but nothing else I'm afraid. I was thinking zoa garden, possibly an invert specific, maybe a single fish tank, something I can't keep in one of my other tanks? Let me hear any ideas that you might have. Thanks in advance!

  • Get a cleaner shrimp--lots'o personality but don't get if you have hawkfish as they will kill ornamental shrimp.
  • With fish the sky's the limit as long as they're nano fish.
  • If you have a sand bed, sand sifters are needed.

Id go with something small and active that you can feed pellets so you don't have to keep frozen food at work.

Dottback, royal gramma, damsels, a single clown etc all come to mind.

Clown goby can be fun too - but sometimes they are to small to eat even the smallest pellets.

You can then add in an shrimp or something as well.

How bout a tailspot blenny? I had one in a small nano tank and was a very active fish. I'm thinking of getting another once my new nano is ready to hold livestock.
