UNknow bug on ACRO any help

I have found some bugs on my SPS that are Redish black with a red dot in the middle . I will post pics up in when camera gets done charging. In the meen time anyone seen,heard, or had these on the sps before.

How small are they? Sounds like red bugs (which is really bad)... Post some pics.

Definately does not look like Red bugs IMO.

I know I have looked up reds bug and these things look nothing like them

Brad, Do you have any interceptor to try on these bugs ? Just wondering if it would kill them. Do they seam to be eating the corals ?

NO Chuck I dont have any interceptor and my vet wont sell me any. They do apear to be eating my acro's.I believe this is the cause any my sps death.

I just got looking at all my dead coral that have dried out and I can see them dead bodys on all the dead sps.

Wow!!! How in the world did you see those things. Definetley not red bugs, the body shape looks the same, and the one dot on the back is similar. Don't know dude!!! My best of luck to ya!!

Are they only on specific species? Acros...pocillipora....montipora? Let's try process of elimination!!

they are on pocillipora, bottle brush, millies, torts,stylos,slimmers,turki,vermeculat,heok, the list go on

oh boy not another acro pest and I agree doesn't look like rb's at all .

How long have you noticed them ?
