I have an unknown carnivorous creature in my tank. I haven't added anything to the tank in over 6 months other than water for water changes, but this thing appeared to me for the first time tonight.
It is a long, 7 inches or so visible, pink tentacle with "feelers" on either side of it which look "feathery" similar to the tip of a tiny feather duster. The color is similar to that of the pink clowns. It came feeling around out of one of my rocks when I did a feeding of mysis. It found a mysis shrimp and partially retreated into the rock. It appeared as though the tentacle sucked the shrimp in through the tip of the tentacle.
Nothing in the tank has died or appears to have been damaged, but I have noticed decreased activity from the shrimp on that side of the tank, but don't know if the two are related. Any help would be appreciated.
