Family Arminidae, possibly a dark-colored Dermatobranchus albus or another species. Members of the genus are specialized predators on stoloniferous octocorals so you might want to get it out of your tank.
Thanks for that. It would make sense as the only thing i have added to the tank for months is a maidens hair algae and that was in the shop tank full of recently imported star polyps.
I'd already took it out on sight and have it floating in a tub out of harms way as i know they tend to be obligate predators so come in on their prey.
