Unknown Red Turf Algae

I was wondering if any one could ID this red turf algae please. I have it all over two coral frag systems. Will turbos and astrea snails eat this stuff?

Thanks,
Sean

I had some red turf algae, and a turbo snail took care of it. Apparently turbos from the pacific are more likely to eat the red turf.

Thanks GYW, I figured they would be the best. Pacific you say.I'll have to try some. Any other experience with red turf?

I do however think this is a neat algae. A possible ATS in the making!?!

Baj:

Thanks for the link. The article that is linked in the above thread was quite informative.
I have not seen the system that is infested yet, I dont now if it is forming the cotton ball like look. It may be a very short turf type alge for all I know. I will see it on wednesday.

Thanks,
Sean
