Unknown SPS and flower thingy...Thoughts??

Hi there everyone, I was hoping to get some feedback on a couple unknowns in my tank. they have actually been there for a while but finally remembered to take pics of them BEFORE unloading my mem. card... So the first pic is of what looks like some type of encrusting sps, (just the only way I know of to describe it) if you touch it, the polyps withdraw and leave behind slime (sm. amt.) and all you can see is the 'pores' they come out of, and the encrusting maroon skeletal stuff on one side, and if you pull it out of the water it looks like any other coral would, gooshy and not unlike anenomes out of water do, transparent and like a big booger, lol. Ok then there is another part on this same rock that looks like the same species, but with a different color polyp, the first one is pinkish tan polyps, and maroon body, the other one is neon green polyps. All the polyps are seemingly healthy, and I suppose if the rock wasnt so ugly (alot of tube worms, and the rock has a 'dirty, hairy' look (no pun intended..)
but where the polyps are, it is kinda nice. If they are left alone, they kinda are long (1/4" approx) and wave with the flow, and if you touch them they withdraw. Oh and the other unknown thing is on a rock that had some zoas on it, but the zoas died. They look like a small cluster of flowers, but not like daisy polyps or cloves. The pics are a super zoom in...Anyway here are the pics:

Unknown SPS?

Thanks all for your time, I have been trying to figure it out on my own but I must be looking for a ghost cuz I cant find a thing. Like I said, it is encrusting around the rock in the pic, it encircles the rock its on and there is a neon green patch at the top (took close up but not a good one) Thanks again!! Tanya

Is it possible to get some higher resolution close-ups? It's hard to say otherwise. I'd suggest that the stony coral might be Alveopora or Gonipora.

Top one might be encrusting gargonian...hard to tell with the picture resolutions though. Second one looks like a chunk of coralline algae to me.

The 'flower thingy' is definately a bit of green star polyps.

no its not gsp, the petal things are too thick, and there is no purple carpeting, it is just those stalks. which is why i say flower thingys they are a cluster with stalks with no carpet effect like zoas do or gsp. Gorgonian, you say? What is that? Is it friend or foe? And there is a piece of coralline growing there, but the piece Im referring to isnt coralline, it has polyps. Polyps that withdraw and slime. Thank you! Tanya

Clove polyps hmm. Might just be that, Ive never had any to compare to, I had what I thought were clove polyps but was told they were daisy polyps (however they could be the same thing with different names, I guess...) MCsax i didnt see your post before, I will have to go look up the names you mentioned and work on getting a better pic. I may disturb the polyps too so you can see the encrusting part. I will look up the 2 you mentioned tho. thanks a bunch every1!!

Goniopora fruticosa or Alveopora gigas... Brilliant MCSAX!! Thanks a million.. An encrusting gorgonian. It has a name. I am so thrilled, wow, I really need to get a life. lol... Thanks! Tanya
