Found an interesting star at my LFS and decided it was worth picking up. The guy said it came to them as a chocolate chip, but that is clearly wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

Looked through every picture and didn't see it. That place has a ton of information!

Yeah, but I took the time to read a review on a product which is junk and his review says it's the best thing since sliced bread. Then he did a follow up review years later and he still said it was great, but I've had 2 and they work good for months, then break and aren't worth fixing. I really don't care for people who give good reviews to get product sponsorship.

It's the companies who are willing to do sponsor forums like the ones here at RC and take direct questions and feedback from real customers that I appreciate!

I'm thinking you posted in the wrong thread, Ron. Lol

There is such a wide variety of Colours and " knobbyness" within the protoreaster nodosus sp. it might very well be it as lfs had it labelled.
For I have rarely seen a smoother protoreaster linckii . But then again there's always a first for everything. [emoji847]

Well, this star has been evicted after eating some Acans that I was a HUGE fan of. We banished it to the sump after witnessing it eating the coral. Such a shame. My fault, though. Lesson learned.
