Unknown "thing" on glass

Hello everyone,

I initially believed this to be Coraline, it was on the bottom on my glass for a few weeks, then just vanished, I didn't think much of it thinking maybe the urchin ate it. But today while feeding fish, I noticed it was back and not at the same spot! And bigger...

So I decided to touch it and it's sort of "mushy". Upon closer inspection it seems to have a main vain on the "arms". Am I crazy ?! I don't think Coraline could disappear and reappear this quickly.

As usual your help is greatly appreciated by this new reefer!

Thanks !

Don't think that's coralline . . .

What kinds of snails do you keep? 'Cause that looks like a string of eggs.

Ahh that would make sense. I have been going through an explosion of stomatella snails. I literally have at least a 1000 of tiny snails right now, at night the Rock is covered.

If that is the case, that's some impressive egg laying speed.I have seen them spraying sperm in the tank.

I also have turbos, nassarius.

Do you have any of those larger Tongan Nassarius snails in your tank? If so, this would be my guess.

Well after some research I would say it's case closed! Would be cool if it was the turbos!

Thanks man

Yes mine look exactly like that (did not see your attached pic from my iphone for aome reason) Did you manage to hatch them? I was thinking of scraping them off and placing them in a jar or something in the tank. Since something ate the last batch I guess
