I just noticed these tiny snails in my 90g SPS tank within the last day or so. This picture is the best one I could render. They are approximately 1-2 mm with calcified translucent shell and 2 small antennae, when extended. No operculum was noted. Their cooration appears to be a white shell with brown markings and a green tip at the apex of the cone. The conical shell is similar to a mexican turbo snail.

I do have a large mexican turbo (had 2 one died due to my polyclad flatworm.) and several astrea in the tank. I didn't notice any spawning or eggs from the snails. I just want to be sure that these are not pests. They appear to be confined to just the rockwork and none have been noted anywhere near an acro, zoa, or any other coral.

Thanks,
Joe

It's kind of hard to tell by the picture but could be Collinista Snails(spelling?). I have them in my tank. They never get any bigger than 3/16" to maybe 1/4" at the biggest. These are harmless and mostly appear after the lights are out. It's surprising how many are in the tank and when the lights are on I don't see them. They are grazing on the rock and the back glass when they are out.
