Unsure what this growth is

I've had this thing on my rock since day one. It has grown fairly large and has split and spread to a few other locations in my tank. I've seen about 7 so far, sizes ranging from a dime to about 4 inches. I know it is not aiptasia as my copperband got rid of all that awhile ago. If it helps, it was on the rock when I received it from tampa a little over a year ago.

No stupid rock there...maybe now that it has a brain it can figure out how to keep algae off of it by itself?
