Hi all. I'm hoping to get some helpful input here, as I usually do. I have a 75gal mixed reef with mostly softies and LPS but I also have a few montiporas and birds nests. My lighting until about a month ago was only 5 of the ecoxotic led panorama strips (3 white, 2 blue). I noticed my montis growing pretty rapidly but the color on them was brown. A month ago I added 2 54w T5s and since my montiporas and birds nests have really brightened up (my one monti cap that was brown is now a nice shade of purple). Id like to starter working my way into some more difficult species but still have some concerns that I don't have enough lighting (which is what I'm expecting everyone on here to tell me), of course another draw back I have is that my current canopy is very difficult to squeeze anymore lighting into. Anyway, what do you all think, stick with the species with less stringent needs or try an acro or two? Guys at my lfs told me if I wanted to try a frag to make sure it was as high as I could get it on the rocks and centered under the T5s. Thanks in advance everyone!
