Unusual Snake like Growth!!!

BAMs BAMs... I have a ton
This white membrane line has been growing and getting longer consistantly.
It does not seem to be affecting the colony but rather a part of it.
I don't think that its bad or anything, but I want to make sure.

Its in the middle, left from right.

Looks like the ridge of the rock below it is causing the seperation. It's nothing at all to worry about. Kinda like bending a piece of paper or the corner of your desk and causing a crease in the paper itself. Just my opinon and I could be completely wrong, but that's what it appears to be.

Thanks guys, the thing is that it was not always there, it started off in the middle more to the left.
If you follow it from the left to right you can see is actually extending itself along the rock AWAY from the main colony, look to the immediate left of the peppermint, it looks like a white upside down U.
I'll throw it in paint and circle some stuff tomorrow.

I see that, I've seen this in my tank as well. It could easily be a worm burrowing underneath and causing the seperation. Either way, it really is nothing at all to worry about my friend. I commend you for asking. These guys around here are the best for trying to help with ideas and explanations.

A macro shot I think would be the determining factor. The opaque whitish coloration lends itself to that of a sponge, but I have never seen sponge trail in straight line so to speak as in the picture above. Using a dedicated set of tweezers, if you can grasp any of it gently, and it pulls away, it's sponge. If it's flat and smoothly attached to the rock, I say it's the Stolen ( or runner which connect the polyps at the base ). Just my 2 cents.

I think the "stolen" opinion is a really good one.
I have tried to use a tweezers and pull it away, back before it grew to the right.
It was soft and fleshy, it was growing straight out of the colony.

Thanks guys!

Another Growth!!!

Another Growth!!!

Again this growth is making me nervous!
It just seems as though this may not be good!
