Upcoming WTMRAC meeting: please read!

I've asked several club members to offer to host our next meeting in their home with no takers. I would like to suggest that instead of having our next meeting at our usual time (Saturday late afternoons) we also open it up for a weekday early evening (let's say 6:30). So I'll now ask via this post to all club members (but preferably to newer members that have never hosted a meeting), please contact me if you would be willing to host the next meeting some time between this Friday June 29th and the following Saturday July 7. You pick the day and I'll make the announcement. We have lots of work to do toward the Frag Swap which is September 22, so I think this would be a great meeting to make serious progress toward assigning tasks to helpers. As always, the club provides he host with $30 toward food expenses.

In this day and age people are less comfortable inviting somewhat strangers into their homes. If you buy something from someone on Craigslist, odds are you will meet them at a neutral site to make the exchange.

Last year someone volunteered a conference room at their office, but we could not agree on a day so it never materialized. That could be a good alternative.

Also, trying to feed an unknown group of folks can be a challenge, and if money is an issue, $30 doesn't go far. So, maybe an alternative is to have the meeting other than at a meal time, such as Saturday morning, or early afternoon?

Not to worry Kerry, we're not strangers. We're the West Tennessee Marine and Reef Aquarium Club. We have a volunteer to host as of today... just firming up the details. Announcement of meeting specifics soon to follow!
