update as requested

looks awesome Jeff..My question is..How did you get away with having wood paneling on the wall?? being married to a girl and all.. lool :)

trust me the paneling wasnt my idea it was here way before me. thats the next project after I am completely done with the fish room. down with the paneling. Thats not only her idea but mine as well. when I frame the tank (molding) I would prefer to paint it as I can calk any gaps and make it look like I knew what I was doing where as if I use a wood finish I actually need to now what I am doing.
Thanks for all the good words everyone Henry swing by you know me I have no life till this is done. Got to get the water changer and auto top off in and vho's oh and framing and insulating oh and outside drywall man and I thought I was close haha

I almost forgot not sure if this is truly a good thing but about an hour after I moved everything I found a baby bangaii swimming around. Anyone have rotifers that wants this little guy?

havent really thought about that yet. I like it like this bit it depends on how long till i get sick of cleaning the back

Yeah this project is one that makes me wish I built a stand and canopy haha. but I am sure once I am done I will apreciate the fact that everything is in one room. I know my wife does haha

Sorry it took so long for the reply but OMG tank looks amazing! and Im loving the scape!

Things are going well its going through a small cycle which I knew would happen so a small diatom bloom and a little algae nothing big. I am loving the fish room its so nice not to have to carry buckets of water around. I finally got my acjr on the web yesterday so I can monitor it from anywhere so thats making me much more confortable

Very Nice! Yeah I am still having to lug buckets lol but its much quieter and I can keep everything contained in the room away from my 6 year old which is nice :)
Excited for ya though :) all the ???? and wondering if this build would work really paid off in the end for you and wow did it fly by lol Well now you can sit back and enjoy it :) Looks amazing though and Love the open scape :)

Take care.

Thought I would give a little bit of an update. The tank is doing well! And yes I will put some pics up later today. Surprisingly enough I have managed to keep tank temp stable. I did have a problem a few weeks ago but that my fault I got lazy and never finished the exterior insulation or the heater. but even then my temps were between 76 and 72. not too bad but not what I wanted. Now that I did the insulation and the heater in the room temps are about a 1 to 2 degree swing as I dont run the heater when the mh bulbs are on. Right now I am planning to install a tunze auto top off ( has anyone installed one of these they need to make a manual to read the manual for it I dont get the whole double sensor thing) and today I plan to remove the beast skimmer and install something a bit smaller but more efficient.
