*Update on Copper treatment* New possible issue with clownfish fins...

I'm am a little over 2weeks in on this copper treatment for ich. Seems like times going kinda quick. Heh. Anyways, none of my fish show any signs of ich and have been eating good. The box fish has little white scars on him, but nothing that looks like the ich that once plagued his body. So far so good :bounce1:

Now it seems both of my clowns are having an issue with their dorsal fins. The flesh between the spines seem to be "sinking" if that makes since. Just sort of deteriorating from the top down. It hasn't gotten to the point that you can tell at first glance. The targeted areas are not discolored.

They've been eating a mix of formula 1 pellets and formula 2 flakes. They seem to really like both. For a day the slightly bigger clown was being kind of finicky, but still ate.

Parameters are stable. Nothing's out of whack. Can somebody help?

I doubt that the fin problem has anything to do with the copper. Maybe someone else has an idea. A pic would help. Almost always, the first sign of a copper problem is loss of appetite.

The appetite loss lasted only a day. I'm just concerned why the pair both are showing the same strange signs. It doesn't look like fin rot. :/ I'll get pics up in the morning,

That looks like a fin nip to me. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's affecting both of them. Now they don't seem to be eating as much as usual. All basic parameters are steady 0. Copper isn't even at .5, it's around .43ish Id say. But I don't believe it's a nip, none of the fish show aggression towards eachother in any way.
Maybe I just have kinky anorexic clowns that like using little whips and chains. But I'm actually concerned that it's a serious issue

+1 on fin tears...How long have the clownfish been together? They're probly fighting for dominance & getting torn fins in the process. Keep an eye on them & if it gets much worse, you might have to separate them for awhile, or bring one back to LFS & get a much smaller juvie.

one of my clowns always had two of those dips between spines. he didn't have them when I got them both, but they were both an inch max. I don't know where they came from but they haven't gotten better or worse in the year and a half I've had them.

They probly did the 'dominance dance' quickly, & the male figured it out fast & submitted before much fin damage.

I've never witnessed them show any aggression toward eachother. It's a possibility I suppose. It just seemed really odd to come out of nowhere like it did. That would make since if I missed there display of dominance.
