The factory is open again and I got an update on expected delivery dates of new products. Unfortunately none of it is good news, there are added delays but these dates while not carved in stone should be pretty firm. Keep in mind these are the dates the product will leave the factory, so add a couple weeks for your dealer to get them in stock.
6300 Stream- Mid March
6055 Nano Stream- Late March
6101- Late April
These pumps are all finalized, there are no more changes to be made, the basic problem is the time needed to get all components manufactured and ready to assemble. The 6101 is the replacement for the 6100 and 6000, it will be driverless and use a laptop powersupply. The price will be the same as the 6100.
Master DOC Skimmers- Late March
The skimmers have been tested quite extensively and we kept having noise issues and the basic problem is that needle wheel skimmer drive units move considerably and it is difficult to build an impeller that can handle this constant back and forth movement in addition to the rotational movement. They start quiet but as time progresses the parts wear and become noisy. We completely reengineered the needle wheel itself and the new one should be pretty cool and quieter than anything anyone has made yet. The specs are unchanged, we just changed the materials and the shape a bit.
I apologize for the delays but I really have no control over it. If it means anything they purchased a large warehouse facility and the factory will be expanded this year so combined with further automation and our larger facility here I think we will be better able to meet demand as the year progresses. In late April we hope to have our 2007 catalogue ready as well as some more products to introduce.
