hey there -
Just wanted to give an update on the shop . . . i had the opportunity to visit last week, and while they are still under construction the place is already looking very nice. Justin, the gentleman who runs the shop, is very nice and was kind enough to give me tour . . .
The interior and finish of the new shop is all new, and easily as nice as any reef shop i have seen here in the bay. There are two main walls lined top to bottom with tanks that will (i assume) hold fish and other stuff, three very large top-view coral/invert displays, and a separate room that will hold custom displays. Additionally, the basment is huge and the skimmers are also huge (i will try to post pic). Sounds like they have about a ton of rock currently curing and will hopefully be getting closer to an official opening date soon.
For anyone who as ever tried to start their own venture, it takes time and energy - not to mention, money and a lot of each for something like this . . . im excited to have a shop around the corner from where i live, gonna be dangerous though . . .
