Update on newly adopted carpet nem

I'm hoping he doesn't move but I'm assuming he will. He's kind of shuffled a few inches left and right so far but has stayed in the corner and buried his foot pretty deep. I'd be surprised if part of his foot was not attached to the bottom glass by now.
Perhaps I should figure out how to secure my rocks, as they are just lightly stacked and a carpet nem might just wedge the top rock into a tumble into the glass.

I can deal with him moving.. I just don't want to see a mandarin tail hanging out of his mouth.

Monday update.

Fed him a nice chunk of squid last night.

Super sticky and eating quickly.

I've been feeding every other day. I might go back to feeding 3 out of 4 days. Feed 2 days in a row, skip a day, then feed again two days in a row, skip a day etc. He seemed to respond really well when I did that.

Friday, late morning update.
Halides and actinics on.

Foot is almost 100% buried. He seems to have attached to the bottom glass. He's must be happy where he is.

Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate that! I have a lot of fun watching him devour chunks of squid. Can't wait to see him at 100%

Beautiful nem, and you've done a great job with recovery!

Just be super careful as he gets healthier. I'd love to have one, but as others have mentioned (and I've been told many many times by owners of beautiful anemones) is that they'll eat all of your fishes eventually, even tangs and other "there's no way he could catch them" fishes.

Might want to start planning out a separate frag/nem tank or something. Just a heads up.

Got caught up at the car dealership today, had to get the wife a mommy mobile. Of course that turned into a 7 hour ordeal so I got home right before the lights shut off.

Is the current coloration progress any indicator thar zooxanthellae may be regaining or at least possible.

Is the color I see now not zooxanthellae? It was stark white when I got it, didn't see any color as seen in the first photo.

That is great to hear! Yesterday morning and the other day I was saying that he looked a little dirty in random spots. I thought I had kicked up some sand dust or something and it stuck to him.
I hope what I was seeing was the zooxanthellae coming back!

Now this is getting exciting.

Tuesday update.

I think you can see in these photos to slight brown tinge that orion was talking about.
Snails are cramping his territory today. Is it bad that I want to see him swallow a turbo snail and spit out an empty shell?

Growing steadily. Eating great. Tonight it will be getting another chunk of squid. I'm giving him the "feed 2 days, skip 1 day, feed 2 days, skip 1 day..." routine and he seems to be loving it!

Just noticed in the last picture above, you can see how well he has buried his foot. Sand is almost completely around his body.

I got a little overzealous with the feeding last night. Gave him a large chunk of squid a little bigger than a raffle ticket but as thick as a piece of applewood bacon . This morning I woke up to find the piece halfway digested in the hands of my coral banded shrimp who is shoving it in his face. I could have sworn the anemone had eaten a piece of similar size before but I'll be more careful and just stick with something about half the size of that piece

Monday update.
All seems well still. He has scooched over a tad bit away from the corner. Hopefully he doesn't venture much further than that.
Recently went through a small cyano breakout. Think it was from heavy feeding trying to get my Copperband comfy and fat. All seems well.
