How do you like your new EVC 10k bulb? Any problem with it so far?

I heard that they do not last for long ?? I am pretty interested in them. Any info would be greatly appreicated!

the EVC... been running them since sept 06 and havent had any trouble (pretty much started running them a coupla days before the TOTM was posted, but didnt want to push skip to change the article info)

i started running the EVC after i finally gave into sanj's propaganda about tanks being too blue these days

(i was running 400wRadiumSE on hqi when he visited ... while not as blue as most 20k, he told me it still looked like Papa Smirf took a wiz in the tank... took me almost a year after that, but i finally gave into to running whiter bulbs and havent looked back since... getting my eyes to "accept" the whiter bulbs took a while... the corals seemed to respond almost immediately)

PFO magnetic pulse (m135)... they didnt have m59s in stock when i ordered... and the bulbs dont use the pulse anyway... so basically they are being driven just like m59s as best as i understand it

Nice!!!

You might like the Ushio 14K, too, Kip. I'm pretty sure Sanjay won't run numbers on that one, since it's basically the same as the BLV Nepturion bulb that he already tested.

I re'scaped the tank after getting the TOTM honors Sept 06. A lot of rock was removed and some corals were thinned out. Some were completely sold to make room for some "LE" stuff I had growing out in my frag tank. The big corals are constantly fragged so that the new, little ones can catch up in size.

Makes me want to trim up my tank and re-aquascape.

the tank has pretty much been on cruise control for a while

i'd kinda forgotten all the hard work until some rock, the blug stag to the far right, some epoxy, and me all got into a fight today
(had to re-secure the blue stag acro)
