Here are some updated picks of my Gigantia!

I think this one is kinda cool, tho out of focus. I need one of those fancy cameras yall be using.

The color is starting to come in nice, The yellow and purple is sweet, you just cant see it on my 2MP camera phone.:rolleyes:
I have been feeding raw shrimp, but this guy now ketches food out of the tank. Thanks for looking, and as always feel free to post updated picks of your Gigantia. I know there are some sweet ones out there.(Gary)

It's about 18 by 10 when fully open, I just took these this morning so it's still a little closed.

Man I tell you I dont think I would ever do another Gigantia, just to much work, to high a chance of it dieing, needs to much flow. I researched after getting it and the numbers are not good. Something around 10 to 15 percent survival rate.
 
Looking good there, keep us posted with pics every so often. I'm glad you did all the homework necessary to have such a nice gigantea.

Have you determined if it's a male or female yet? :D
 
When "he" eats it's male, when "she" is looking bad and p!ssing me off it's female.

I believe any thing that needs to be coddled, persuaded, coaxed, sweet talked, or go shopping is female?

I could be wrong tho? Oh yeah any thing that can end your life is female as well, EX. Guns, Race cars, Boats, High performance engines and such........
 
those other anemones were Delphinius, phil (phender) and a guy with a purple that seems like it has been there. the purple looked pretty healthy.

Phil just got a new turqoise gigantea :) and delphinius has not mentioned anything wrong.
 
sugartooths (kathy), smaller gigantea was doing good last update, if anything were wrong she would be asking questions
 
Cool thank for the update, just seemed like we all fell off the face of the anemone and clown fish earth.
 
Where are folks buying healthy Gigantea? Do you guys have a retailer near you? or are they mail order?
 
MY LFS ordered like 20 gigantea last year and a few came in healthy but at the time i was concentrating on SPS.

Thanks for asking about the others, including me. GSM is right on, I would be all over here if I had encountered anything odd. I thought people would get sick of seeing the same picture over and over. So I was thinking I would only provide Milestone updates.

So far, I still can't read the behavior too well. It still hasn't moved from the location, but it did change the orientation. I still don't think it has planted it's foot. I don't understand why?

I got mine from Diver's Den. Cope- they are expecting more in the next week.
 
Nice thanks for the up date, picks? I titled this as updated Gigantea picks so we all could get some more play.
