geez, sang! i didn't know you were a collector of ALL the nice corals! ;) btw, i drove through your area last week-- a buddy was graduating from UCSB, so i went down to visit with another friend. we stopped for lunch in salinas and i wished that i had your number so i could have stopped by to gaze at your tank! :D let me know when you're up this way again so we can trade some zoas or something. :)

Is it harder to grow a nice colony from a one zoa frag?

Your Rubies look like they did really well. I really like the way the colonies look as a whole, but it seems they are usually way too expensive to buy that way at 'so much per polyp'. So you wind up witha choice- quality or quantity?

where'd you get your envy orange? i need some of those but not about to pay 100/polyp plus shipping, at least not until i sell some frags of my other zoas :)

Thanks guys and gals for the compliments. Yes, the rubies seem like a fast grower. As for the Envy Orange, they are extremely slow. I have yet to see any new growth in the past 4-5 months or so. I got them from the source, aka Juan Carlos in a trade.

Your envy orange's look like they are being smothered by a nasty red algea. If its the stuff I had, they are not gonna grow until you get rid of that algea.

Beautiful Zoa's... I also see some awsome SPS peakin around some of those zoa's! you really do collect it all dont you?

Thanks for the tip Jovreefer. I hate that algae. I prune it and it comes back even faster. Luckily, I only have it in a couple spots.
