Snapped a new pic tonight of big red in his new home. One of the halides is off for sunset, but you get the picture!! :D

Yeah, it shrinks down a little when the halide above it turns off. Id say its easily 15 inches give or take a couple.

May I ask how you transferred "big red" into the new tank being as large as he is. Plastic bag? I have recently acquired one of similar size and color (they could be twins...lol) and may have to relocate in another year or so. Just wanted to know what is the easiest and least stressful way to transfer these beautiful specimen.

Thanks.

To tell you the truth, the least stressful way for an anemone in my opinion is to wait until its deflated as much as possible and then just make a quick transfer (in a bucket) straight into the new tank. It worked out for me anyways.

Cartman, can you let us in on your tank parameters? This is something to be duplicated! Can you tell us where you got him and if you don't mind, what he cost?

Sure, tank parameters as of tonight:

Cal - 430
Alk - 7.0 - 7.5dkh
Mag - 1300
Po4 - 0.0 detectable
Am - 0.0 detectable
No3 - 5-10
No2 - 0.0
K+ - 250

Other answers are within the thread. Thanks for the compliments.

It ate its first fish last night. My Scopas Tang disappeared, and today my anemone was spitting up the remains. DANG IT! Guess its hard to avoid when its that big.
