upgrade now broken

i tryed to upgrade to the new software

it failed during upload and now nothing work just the lights come on (nothing on the display)

i have it unpluged and jumped the jumpers and still the same thing

i have upgraded to version 4.0 and than was going to 4.1

any ideas

i need this fixed asap

Hiya

your thread title is slightly miss leading, its not the upgrade that is broken, but the sequence you did the upgrade in, if you select ok to the download before selecting ok on the Profilux it will error, same thing will happen if you lose communication from your personal pc.

Dont worry it is easily sorted, just refer to the back of the manual and it explains how to flash the memory back.

got it running just having trouble loading of the complete setup from 4.02 vista is having problem were as with the normal rs232 cable had no problems (rs232 was on a computer with xp and isnt my computer)

are you having a problem installing ProfiLuxControl II V4.0.2.0 on vista?? I had a few issue... I had to uninstall 4.01, delete folder, clean registry, run the installer as administrator and then it worked

first uninstall old version in any case

you must run uninstallation and installation as admin

I had a problem with Vista as well. I received an error at the very end of the firmware install. I then installed software v4.02 and it shows that firmware version 4.02 is installed.

Even though the error message showed up, there is no evidence of 4.02 firmware problems. It runs fine and the Profilux unit shows FW 4.02.

make sure you ahve all current Vista releases downloaded this is important

I updated my Firmware and I run Vista and didn't have any problems. Everything seems to be working just fine.

Its all down to making sure you have all Vista updates loaded.

Interesting you mention that. Just after the Profilux update, I left the laptop running. I usually do not do this. I came back a couple hours later, took it out of sleep, and the Vista update ran. I have the computer set to automatic updates, but I do not think it ever got the updates because I turn it off after I am done whatever it was I was doing.
