Roger,

I am looking upgrade my flow on my existing 90 gal. I'd like to plan this purchase so that I will not have to throw away or sell much when I upgrade to a 180 in a few months.

I have a 90 gal SPS tank with a 7300/2 on a single controller along with about 1800 gph of random flow from a couple of rotating returns. It is no where near enough flow.

I would like to end up with a 180 gallon with two 6100s along with the 7300/2 on a new 7095 multicontroller.

How can I upgrade my flow now and not start over when I get the bigger tank? A 6100 and a branch adaptor? Or maybe a 6100 on the old single controller with the 7300/2 just blasting away on its own?

Thanks,

Bill

A 6100 is going to likely be too much for a 90 even at low power. I think you will either have to get a 6000 and upgrade the transformer later or get the 6100's after you get your 180.

How about another choice. I have a 6060 that doesn't work. It was jammed with a snail. The impeller vibrates and even turns a little if I free it up. Is it fixable?

If so, then how about a 6060 in on one side and the 7300 pushing against it to create random flow?

That will work and yes your 6060 is fixable. You just need a rebuild kit or to clean it.

I would conatct Phil Gilbert, he is in Montreal and is the Canadian distributor. He is on this board by the same name.
