Upgrading FOWLR

Hey now! I am going to upgrading my current 135 FOWLR to a reef ready 210 I picked up. My fishes will be very happy! I currently have 50 gallons saved and I will be making an additional 110 gallons which will be a snap with my 180gpd spectrapure with booster pump! Any one out there who doesnt have a booster pump (unless ur pressure is already high) I highly suggest it. WOWZER is all I have to say for that.

N e way I am fan of flow. I have an MP60 waiting to go on this beast from my old fowlr but I currently run a mag18 as my return with my HOB overflow box and would hate to have to dial down my return after upgrading to 210.

So the megaflow kit that came with my tank has 2 drains 2 returns like all 2 overflow'd tank My question is would I be insane to use 3 holes as drains, and if so should I just make a stand pipe as the 3rd pipe? I am aware of the different drain strategies, I also am aware that this has been done before, so my main question is should I? I can always leave as it use 1800 gph and dial it down a tad and use eductors at return pipes to spruce up some flow... either way I want opinions.

If I do 3 drains what is my flow limited to...

What's the ID of your O/F's?

Personally, I'd run 3 returns and two SP's rather than 3 O/F's. I have one in the center thru the O/F wall and one in each corner of the tank. I'd alternate the two corner returns via a SCWD and valve the center O/F to match the flow between the center and the two corner returns.

Also, rather than running a PH, I'd consider a CL instead. I hate having "junk" (equipment) in my setups...

FWIW, the 210 build we're doing has 2 main returns and 4 CL returns. The mains alternate via a SCWD and the CL's are controlled by a OM 4-way. Main pump is a Pan World PS150 or PS200 (I forget which now) and the CL pump is a Reeflo Dart.

Ok ok so holes are 1 3/4" and 1 1/2" but when u measure the diameter of the bulkhead actual usable flow size its 1 1/4" (x2) 1ish" (x2)
