Upgrading lights, placement question.

Hello all,
I am in the process of upgrading my lighting system from an orbit pc light system to a T-5 system for my 72 gal bowfront. Currently I have 2 blue zoas near the top of the tank. I will have a 5x54 T5 aquactinics set up. What's the best placement for my zoas? Can I get away with having them on the bottom? Thanks in advance.

From my experience with Florida blue zoas, they have much better color near the bottom. Anytime adjusted to more intense lighting, it would be advisable to start low and work your way up.

Thanks I will start at the bottom and adjust if needed. Now for my stupid question-How will I know if they need more light?
