Ok, had my little 30g with a 20 sump running about a year now, no problems. Recently I got a good deal on a 55g, which I took. I wanted to just move everything over. Problem, the 55g stand is not able to hold my sump due to the center brace. After trying some different things, its just not working. So I have gone to the old hang on filter, forgot the sump. My question is: am I going to miss my sump? More importantly my skimmer which won't fit anywhere now? Anyone out there successfully running with the hang on type and no sump or skimmer? Suggestions? I tried everywhere to find a stand without bookshelves or a brace in the center, the only one I found was way too expensive. It sits in the hallway to my living room and really can only put the sump in the stand. On the plus side, I would be happy to not have to have a hang on overflow anymore. Thanks all!
