Upload images to CF card?

Does anybody know how I can upload photos to my compact flash card?

I have a Rebel XTi and all the software.

thanks, this is driving me nuts.

Is my question, or my motives warranting the "huh"?

I have a little LCD photo frame (similar to this one http://www.magicdigitalframes.com/images/DPF/Philips_7FF1CWO.jpg).

It reads compact flash cards that plug into the back of the unit. It has a small internal hard drive, but it holds about 25 pictures on low res.

So, what I need to do is load images from my computer onto a compact flash card.

I'm having a hell of a time finding out how to do this...

Rosseau,

I can upload pix to my cards via a cheap card reader. I use a $15 SanDisk for my compact flash media. It is basically identified as another drive whether you use a Mac or a PC.

On my Mac, I use the "export" function. On my PC, I use the "save as" function. You just have to specify where to send it. For example, when I've got a Lexar card in the reader, it shows up on my desktop as "Lexar Media". On some PC's you can give the card reader a "letter" designation as you would your other drives.

HTH,

Luis

Thanks for the help. I ended up going out and buying a card reader after failing to find a good way to upload using my camera.

The card reader does the trick just fine. It's fast, easy to use and doesn't waste camera battery. The downside is it's another $20 spent on a $1.00 item from China.

Oh well, time to enjoy the picture frame :)

I use a PCMCIA card reader..it was $6.

When opening the dumb thing from its plastic packaging I sliced through the driver cd it came with. Heh, fortunately I didn't need it.

PCMCIA would work for me, if my garbage Toshiba laptop would decide to work for more than a week.
