I've encountered alot of confusion about these guys. I've been thinking about adding one to my tank, they seem to be for the most part photosynthetic meaning they need good light (metal Halide) but also are supposedly preditory and carnivorous, but I can't seem to find any decent recourses on what they eat, anybody have one that could fill me in?

When I had mine I never seen them eat anything. They more or less just laid around. They didnt bother any fish/coral/inverts. One thing is make sure your powerhead intakes are covered.
