urchin in fuge?

My pencil urchin has been a model citizen for a year, until yesterday when he ate every polyp from a colony of zoas. :mad2: I guess he ran out of algae to eat. I set up a refugium a few weeks ago with a DSB and some cheato - can I banish him there? It is growing some brown algae that he could eat up. Will he eat cheato too? I think he would be fine in there, but I don't want him to adversely affect my fuge.

i think it will be fine, but have no personal experience. i would just put him there and watch your cheato, if it starts going away, turn the urchine into a pencil urchin necklace.

LOL, I wanted to after I saw him on my zoas. But I couldn't pull him off. He's a strong little &%(#($*.

yes they will eat cheato. I had a long spine I had to keep in my fuge for a litte while and absolutley destroyed my cheato!!!
