Urchin on Acrylic

So I've watched the way my long spined urchin's mouth works, and I just gotta ask. I have a new acrylic 14ga AIO that I just set up on my desk. Is it OK to put one of those guys in there? They're just hanging out in my 75, but there's tons of algae in the new tank for them to eat. But like I said, I watch how their mouth works, and it seems like it could scratch up the acrylic.

They can, but you usually won't see it until you drain the tank. I plan on just polishing out my tank when it gets broken down.

I had some long spine urchines in my 180 and they would create these little circular scratches that were quite noticeable. I would stay away from them.
