Urchin Pro Users...I have a question

I have had a Urchin for several years and it has performed flawlessly. Great production of thick, dark skimmate. I just got a Urchin Pro with a Mag3, it produces WAY to may bubbles. I have to empty the container constantly and the stuff is clear & watery. I adjusted the cup up as far as possible.
Do I just need to get a less powerful pump so it will quit producing so many bubbles?
Any ideas?

Its only been running for two days......the owners manual said it wouldn't be producing very many bubbles during the break in period. And I am using the pump sold with it.
I just dont have time to watch it constantly to empty it every few hours. I do need to go to work....

You know, I had this same thing happen a week ago. It was working wonderfully. Then without warning, it was producing crazy bubbles, small like soapy bubbles. I contacted the mfr and they said this is likely do to additives or de-chlor use that has "slime coat" additive. I had to use grochery store de-chlor do to run out a few weeks back. Did a water change switched from Prime to AmQuel, no more issues. Back to flawsless running.

Hope this helps.

Turn it off and go to work. Or place it in a bucket with warm water and white vinegar and let it run while you are gone. Once you get back, rinse it down and place it back in your sump. It should settle down, but it still will need to break in and that may take a week or two.

It has now been over two weeks....still tooo many bubbles and WAY to much watery, colorless output!!!!. I put my old 1200 pump from the old skimmer on and it works great....lots of thick, dark skimmate. (I ran it for the past few days and get about 1/2 cup every 2 or 3 days.)
So I am preety sure it's not a water issue. I put the mag3 back on and TONS os watery stuff again. But I sure dont like the idea of spending all that $ to be using the same old pump on a bigger urchin.
