urchin with hole

My urchin has a hole in it. I just saw it this morning. Not sure if it wasn't from a rock or one of my triggers. They haven't bothered him or my other long spine before. So I guess he is going to die now? He is still moving. Can they heal themselves?

Im not home right now. Its just a hole on top of him about a 1/4 size of his body. You can see right through the top of his shell. Its not through the bottom of him too, just the top.

Likewise. They go totally nuts for it. One of my fellow instructors used to use it to set up pictures with french angels who are totally crazy about it.

Ya we used to put it in the holes and cracks in the rock so it looked like they were in a bottom feeding frenzy. I wish I had access to a digicam or a scanner back then
