urgent help needed copper in sharktank

hello

i had problem with ich a week ago and whent to store to buy product to kill ich, i informed the shop owner that i have sharks in my thank and can not use copper for my sharks.
the shopowner give me something that he insurre that is safe for my fish
now i my sharks stop eating i check the bottle and not info about containing copper in the bottle
i tested the product and it holds therautic levels of copper
somewone told me that bamboo sharks and epaulette sharks are not vunerable to theraputic copper levels
i check on internet and find some info that confirms this and some that diny this
now how dangerous is this for my sharks and how can i get ridd of the copper .and what level of copper is save again
and should i remove the sand to make sure
moving sharks to other tank is no option.
can someone please help me whit this

i own a 300 gallon tank
i have 2 adult and 2 juvenile bamboo sharks all different species

No sure about the toxicity of copper to sharks, per se, but do know that the therapeutic margin (the difference between the effective dose and the toxic dose) is very slim - perhaps 2-3x. Sensitivity is really species dependant - but also depends on your particular set up. If you are concerned you should get a test kit to confirm the actual concentration in your tank. The usual recommended dose is 0.2 mg/L (free copper or Cu2+). Keep in mind that under dosing (to keep your sharks safe) is not a good idea as it will be completely ineffective against ich.

If you find the dose is too high (in excess of 0.2 mg/L), and/or your sharks appeared stressed, or you have some information that no level is safe and you want to get rid of it, you should start changing your water. You can also reduce the concentration by striping it out of the water by using charcoal (in a canister filter) and/or poly-filter.

i tested the water and it holds 0,1 mg/l i plan do do water change of 50 gallon tomorow and will do again week after to make sure. i am going to remove the sand from the tank and replace it because what i know copper binds to calcium and dan sink down
