Urgent Help!

my dwarf lion hasnt eaten anything in 5 days. i have had him for only those five days. at first he was always hiding, now he is finally out and about but is still not eating. ive tried live foods such as guppies and ghost shrimp. i also tried frozen such as krill, mysis, and silverfides. hasnt even attempted to eat yet. WHAT DO I DO. I am so worried right now. he is so pretty and i really dont wanna lose him. PLEASE HELP

They can go without eating for a couple of weeks. I would seperate him into his own tank if you haven't already and turn the lights off and add some rock and macros or fake plants. Lots of cover. That will make him feel at home. I would then introduce a couple of live guppies or shrimp. If he doesn't eat them within an hour remove them and try again the next day. T

i tried that that didnt do a thing. i even tried to do it in the main display tank. do you think if he went without eating for a long time, he would eventually just have to take the food due to hunger?

Tim has good suggestions. Lots of f.ish go on hunger strikes even to the point of perishing.

so do you think i should just keep trying everyday until he eats? and what should i try with, live or frozen?
