ok, i recently moved my tank from the basement to upstairs, i didnt wanna move my fuge so i left it in place, my overflow has a 1 inch I.D. U-Tube that drans into 1 inch PVC witch goes into a 1" to a 1 and a quarter inch PVC T one side feeds down to the base ment the other end is above my tank about 5 inches. the total distance the drain is flowing is 13 feet horizontal and 12 feet verticle, with 7 90* elbows, i looked at the pipe and at no point is it going up. its at a constant down slope.

any input would be apreciated,

TIA

it is not draining fast enuff, i'm running a little giant 4 and according to the head loss calc i should only be flowing around 400 GPH, but i still have to throttle that half way back.

use pvc drain fittings not regular pvc elbows and make sure your horizontal runs slope 1/4" per foot

If you can I would increase the line size to 1 1/2" and this may be the smallest drain fitting size.
